YDN was established putting in mind the following objectives:

1. To improve the levels and quality of services provided to the community members through implementing humanitarian programs and development projects
2. To promote social partnership and equality for all segments of society through adopting creative ideas for community-based peace-building
3. To enhance cooperation, coordination and interaction between NGOs working in the areas of sustainable human development in Yemen
4. To contribute to the institutional capacity building of NGOs and increase their efficiency in achieving their goals and utilizing their resources for beneficiary-oriented programs and projects
